You can no longer preorder the Wii U from Best Buy — or at least, not online

Within just a couple of days, both the Basic and Premium bundles for the Wii U have sold out through Best Buy’s online store. I’m sure you could still find stock at many of the physical, retail locations, but if you were hoping to avoid straining those strange, long things stemming from your waist — also known as your “legs” — then you’re out of luck. You may just have to go to a store.

    Target’s online store is also sold out of the Premium Bundle (not sure if this has been reported yet, so I’m posting it just in case).

    Gamestop is also out of pre-orders of the Deluxe and with Walmart your stuck with a $400 or $450 bundle that includes a wii-remote( already have four), so I ended up having to pre-order at Toysrus.

    I experienced this first hand yesterday here in TX.

    I went to gamestop to pre order and they only had basic bundles left. With little surprise to me, the guy was also like “Yea man, I hadn’t barely even heard of the Wii U until we got pre orders yesterday”.

    After a few curse words to my own stupid self, (damn your lazy ass for not getting up and pre ordering the first day), I journeyed across the street to Best Buy. With little surprise to me, the guy at the GAMING STATION didn’t know anything about the Wii U and called over a manager to help find the SKU. Shortly after, I was finally able to pre order my Black Deluxe system for $5.00.

    With all this confusion and such, I’m still going to make sure and get there right when they open so I can snatch one up. I can almost guarantee that several stores will accidentally over promise pre orders.

    I went to Best Buy this morning and they had it. I pre-ordered the Deluxe (Premium). They had both to pre-order, but not that many games, so I went to Gamestop and pre-ordered 3 games over there.

    Damn it. I still haven’t been able to pre order it. I’m going to have to do it on monday most likely. I still haven’t gotten paid.

    In my dorky-ass podunk town of Hutchinson Kansas there is only 2 video game stores and only one carries new stuff(gamestop) and they still have plenty of preoreders if anyone wants to come to my dumb town and snatch some Wii Us feel free to do so cause I already preordered mine!

    Really hoping my local Best Buy isn’t out of the Deluxe Edition. I honestly don’t want to get stuck with the $450 Wal Mart Bundle. LOL Going there tomorrow first thing in the morning.

    I pre-ordered my Wii U Premium bundle at Gamestop on Friday (9/15). Just the system, because that’s all that I want and can afford at the moment, what with my college expenses and all.
    Maybe I got lucky at Gamestop? I don’t know. I don’t work there and keep track of inventory stuff like that.

    In my city ALL Gamestops and Best Buy’s (well we only have one Best Buy anyway) are completely sold out of both. The last hope is Toy’s R Us. And guys I kid you not, the first day pre-orders were available when I drove past a Gamestop there was literally a line out the door. I have never in my life seen a line to PRE-ORDER anything.

    Geez, the deluxe set is even sold out at target…good thing i preordered mine from the best buy website yesterday…do you guys know if best buy does midnight launches?

    Pre-ordered mine at gamestop on the 13th. Thank goodness for that e-mail or I would nvr had remembered. They only had one other when i pre-ordered but they thought everyone was goin to come around 6 because of people working and such.

    I managed to get my Deluxe ordered at Bastard Buy. I ordered on the first day since I figured this would sell out!
