Wii U version of Black Ops 2 appears on LinkedIn profile of Activision employee

A while ago, a magazine “confirmed” that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 would arrive on the Wii U. But despite the evidence, Treyarch has left their lips shut tight. For the moment, I suspect this is because Nintendo has a big reveal event planned for the end of September where they want to unleash all the news.

But just in case there was still doubt, the LinkedIn profile of an Activision employee has been updated with mention of the Wii U version of the game. This is definitely one of those “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” situations. I would be shocked if we don’t see an official announcement within the next couple of months.

    Im pretty ok with COD games on the Wii U because unlike the PS3 or 360 we have Mario, Zelda and other Nintendo franchises to balance out the Wii U from over saturation from shooters :P

      If you are talking from a platform game perspective I will agree with you, but if you mean Mario in general then I am afraid I will have to disagree in terms of Mario…I do expect to get pointed down, but honestly Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Mario Party, Mario Soccer, Mario and Sonic at the Olyhmpics…That is technically more Mario games than Call of Duty on the original Wii…I do like Mario games though, I’m just pointing out that in my opinion Nintendo are also guilty of over saturation of their mascot.

      I meant that Nintendo has enough franchises plus the Mario sports games to prevent the shooters from taking over the Wii U like they did for to the PS3 and 360 as i doubt Mass Effect, ZombiU and BlackOps 2 will be the only shooters we’ll see on the Wii U.

      It is still over saturation of Mario, regardless of the genre of game…Do you really think any of those sports games would sell if Mario wasn’t plastered on the front cover?

      Since Treyarch is devloping Black Ops 2, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did implement that feature since Treyarch helped produce a majority of the CoD games for the Wii. :)

    Battlefield 3 is waaaaaaaaaay better than COD.

      Unforunate bullying and greed of other companies was the death of Free Radical and thus the sort-of death of TimeSplitters.
      It sucks that crap like CoD gets to survive and TimeSplitters does not.

      True that, but you can’t really compare Battlefield to CoD. One is bigger while the other is fast paced (sometimes)…

      dont listen to anyone. i like call of duty and still play it, but even if i do like it, i know more then anything that when you play hardcore the only talent you need is lagging, camping, and know where people spawn at. i wish smart people made the game but it was a bunch of idiots. or worse then idiots. any idiot already knows you dont spawn someone at the same exact spot. i bet battlefield is definitely better then cod even if i never played it before. becuz cod in ways is pathetic.

    If this is true we may hear of the new of another employee “fired” for leaking information regarding of something Nintendo related.

    well if this will come on the wii u (at least early enough) i guess getting it for the xbox would be stupid. but still depends on how well the wii u is made.

    I think it would be neat to have Black ops on Wii U. Alot of great controls could be added in with the use of the Gamepad or Asymmetrical gameplay.

    One thing that Nintendo versions of COD doesn’t have is CAMPERS. And it makes playing COD on Nintendo so much better. First camper I see on Black Ops 2 Wii U is getting his house nuked in real life. Lol. Ah I kid. But hopefully they add screen play for this. I’d love to play online in my bed on-screen with headphones.
