Wii U Pro Controller

The description of the Wii U Pro Controller via various retailers has revealed that it features “a rechargeable battery that can last up to 80 hours on a single charge”. A controller for the Xbox 360 and PS3 lasts between 20-30 hours, making for a fairly significant (and impressive) gap.

    Pro indeed.

I wonder how long that tablet controller lasts, I’m pretty sure they just used the battery in there for this thing.

I’m not sure where I seen it, but I thought this was the battery life for the gamepad. But either way this is 3 times as long as my P3 remote. Yay! No more charging after a day of watching One Piece.

Gamepad was between three and five hours I’d heard.

what happened to 3-5 hours ALL the stuff?

    • Tails the Foxhound

That was for the Gamepad, I don’t think anyone ever commented on this one.

Wow! I need to pick one of these up at launch! :D

doesnt matter too much. i mean, everybody uses rechargeable batteries. if they die, just recharge them.

    • Critical Tiger

Yes but charging takes time also.

    • Hybrilynx

      we have 6 rechargeable ones.

    • uJheelyPimp

      That isn’t much lol XD

    • Ice Climbers

Yeah but it gets really annoying to have to put the controller on the charger after a certain amount of time, trust me. *Remembers rechargeable batteries that died after an hour in Wiimote while playing Skyward Sword….*. “Master, the batteries in your Wii Remote are nearly depleted…”

    • Hybrilynx

we still havent played that game either after getting it for christmas. freaking cheap launch wii cant read disks. i have to wait for the wii u, so yeah. we had that game unplayable for a year becuz of nintendo.

    • Ice Climbers

First, what does that have to do with rechargeable batteries? Second, the Wii launched 6 years ago, so yeah it isn’t a mystery as to why your Wii can’t read disks anymore. Mine did the same thing, but I fixed it. I’ve already played through Skyward Sword, it was just the stupid 3rd-party rechargeable batteries that died after an hour of playing.

Holy crap… That battery life is just 20 hours short of GC’s WaveBird (otherwise known as the best wireless controller ever). I already have a pro controller on preorder. This is going to be an awesome holiday season! :D

does the interworks pro controller u have an 80 hour battery life
