CVG is reporting that, due to manufacturing issues, the Wii U will not be released in Europe until early December. Since a release hasn’t been announced at this point, this isn’t really a “delay”, but a November release was apparently “intended”, which isn’t hard to believe.

    Aw, come on! D’:

  • Nemui

Well, there isn’t even a release date, so it’s not delayed. It’s more like “Maybe something is going to happen to a release we don’t know yet.” It’s very vague, I wouldn’t be suprised if this turn out to be a fake

  • G-man

Let’s all take a step back and wait for Nintendo to confirm this rumor.

Correct me of im wrong but they didn’t say it’s a rumor so maybe its a hint that it will be coming in November….ill be surprised if it don’t.

  • donzaloog

I won’t believe it until I hear it from Nintendo.

  • NeonNerd

I thought Holiday 2012 indicated December anyway?

    • ABEzilla116

December is actually kind of bad for them. They would get much more sales the month before because that’s typically when most people buy Christmas presents.

  • CHECKit095

    Why only in Europe?

More languages to translate I guess…

    • Anon

It’s something related to the gamepad according to the rumor. I guess.

  • hajimemashite

    NO! MY BIRTHDAY!
    My … Schoolies!

  • TheFarmboy

How can you delay something if it had no release date to start with?

  • 9a3eedi

Better delay it than release it with “red rings”, I say

    • http://profiles.google.com/xdavidxhoylexx David Hoyle

or disk read errors and crashes when it reads duel layers disks
      yeah.

    • ABEzilla116

I don’t think anything will change internally, if anything the “manufacturing issues” has to do with availability of parts or something like that. I doubt waiting longer will make the console “work better” when it releases since most likely they won’t be using different parts than they are now.

    • JS

That has nothing to do with the delay, this has to do with parts of the console and overall shipment

  • thdgh

more launch games for Europe then!

  • daniel

    rumour

A quick question…if xbox 360 and playstation 3 had powerful graphics cards and suffered from overheating, which is one of the reasons why their bulkiness was essential for cooling, how is Nintendo capable of making a system so tiny yet more powerful than these systems without overheating? Would really love to know!

    • idk

Isn’t the wiiU very big though,in terms of length and considering its 6 years later there nothing really much special about what your’re saying

    • Seb

It just better and newer technology than what PS3 and 360 used.

  • Critical Tiger

Maybe they did not produce enough? Is that considered maufacturing problem..

  • wimpykid456

That’s why I love America so dang much.

    • Co-Wink-Key dink inc

      Really? Your only reason?

    • wimpykid456

      No, heh.

  • the vita is dead

This is F.U.D. Nintendo’s not gong to screw up the Wii U’s global release. †
