Walmart continues to promote the Wii U

I don’t plan to post all the advertising material we see for the Wii U, but it’s nice to be reminded of how close the launch is. It’s weird to think that, in just over a month — okay, about five weeks — we’ll have the system in our hands. Luckily, I’m being kept busy enough so the wait isn’t killing me.

    Pokemon Black 2 is what’s keeping me going until the Wii U. Might go buy White 2 in case I end up finishing everything in Black 2 (besides catching ‘em all).

      I’m getting White 2 to match my White 1 so I can have both legendaries. I think the popularity of Black 2 is due to Zekrom being masculine or something. Or maybe the color seems… tougher?

    I went to 3 Walmarts about putting the Wii U on Layaway but they told me they haven’t heard about it or they told me when it came out. -_-

    So I just called Walmart Corporate and she told me that the AD may be a site issue and that they may have worded it wrong.

    I just pre-ordered a WII U Deluxe at walmart. It’s on layaway. She told me they will keep doing this until they run out.

    For those who haven’t gotten a chance to Pre Order the WII U. Walmart has a limited supply of WII U Deluxe on Layaway. The Offer started today and lasts through November 1st. I had to put down 42.50 to reserve my Wii U today.

    I pre-ordered mine on lay-away at Walmart today as well!!!! I put $60 down so far. I live in El Paso, TX so I don’t know how other locations are going but they had a big yellow folder labeled “Wii U Deluxe Pre-Orders.” I was the cashiers second pre-order for the day.

    I freaking hate Wal-Mart Canada, they’re not taking pre-orders of the Wii U, only 4 retailers in total are only taking pre-orders for it. Future Shop, Best Buy, The Source and EB Games which none are around me =/ So I have to get it on launch day and wait outside in the cold like I had to do with the Wii. Great job Wal-mart… great fucking job.

    Just to make it clear, you actually have to go into the store, to the layaway service desk(usually in back by the rear restrooms), and put it on layaway. No one else in the store seems to know what’s going on and even the layaway people need to follow instructions on a piece of paper given to them specifically for the Wii U layaway procedure. As far as I know, you can’t do this online. They did specifically say that as long as they have supply, people can put it on layaway. Once that supply is gone, it will block them from completing the layaway order.
    It took them about 15 minutes to figure it out, and that was after talking to the electronics department, front service desk, and 3 employees at the layaway service desk, but I did get a deluxe Wii U on layaway there on Sunday :)
