Ubisoft is releasing “a new type of game” for the Wii U at launch

Ubisoft will be the company with the most games available on the Wii U at the launch of new system next year. That’s just how they roll. But I do like that they’re working on unique content such as Killer Freaks from Outer Space. They also have another game in development, but they’re keeping it under wraps for the time being.

Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft has said that “We will announce one game that we want to launch day one that is a new type of game, which should be interesting.” Vague, sure, but I do like new things.

And as much as I hate Ubisoft when it comes to their rabid exploitation of system launches, they do know how to entice me with grand promises. Clever buggers.

    Well, at least Ubisoft is there for launches. I mean, thanks to them, at least launches do have a bit of variety (not necessarily saying they’re all worth it though). I did get Shadow Wars for the 3DS, and it’s probably one of my favourite 3DS titles, perhaps even more than SSF4, which has the most butchered online. DoA also has butchered online.

    Looking forward to GR:Online, KFfOS, Assassin’s Creed and whatever the ‘secret’ title is.

    Just wondering, what does “butchered online” mean? Does it mean that the online gameplay lags a lot?

    Wait do they mean a new genre? Well being Ubisoft I’m skeptical that it’ll be good so I can’t get excited yet but maybe later I will.
