Chasing Aurora 4

Looking for a good deal on the eShop? You might be interested in one of the following titles:

  • Chasing Aurora — $7.49 until January 4th
  • Little Inferno — $9.99 until January 4th
  • Trine 2: Director’s Cut — $15.99 until January 7th

And at these prices, all of the the games might be worth picking up. But feel free to share what you feel is the best of these three games in the comments below to help other people make their decisions.

Trine 2 is without a doubt the best one. Gorgeous graphics and nice music, multiple usable control schemes, great puzzle game with multiple ways of solving puzzles. Hell! It even has multiplayer locally and online and the upcoming patch will add the Pro Controller, voice-chat and better textures (O.O!). I believe the length of the game is somewhere around 10-12 hours (haven’t finished it yet) and that for 16 bucks!
Although it’s strange that the US discounted price is higher then the EU’s. We only have to pay 13,50 here o.O
Most consider it to be the best Eshop game and rightfully so.

I played Trine 2 on steam, also if you do co-op you can have both people on cubes and be the wizard and you can go anywhere you want if you carry your partner’s cube, it is a little trick I saw. Don’t let it touch each other or hit by other things though.

  • Tails the Foxhound

…I JUST bought two of those. Man, that’s just a bit annoying. At least I got more premium points back I guess.

    • Hybrilynx

now imagine if you paid $250 for it. thats exactly how i felt last year.

    • Marty

I payed more then that for my 3ds and launch games at launch and i’m not mad, it’s not like nintendo screwed us. Assuming gba games are going to be 10$ each on the virtual console price it’s even to launch cost to the price drop, and you could have waited longer, you know. I don’t know about you but i’m pretty damn happy to get free games for being an early adapter, especially to play metroid fusion and fire emblem for the first time.

    • Tails the Foxhound

Exactly what I was gonna say.

    • Hybrilynx

unlike most people, i can make those games myself (no, really. after i get the hang of websockets i can even make them all play online too). heck, i can even make them in 3d (the painful 3d where you cross your eyes or something like that. or even the gif 3d thing). that, and i did appreciate the metroid games, but i already had them in real life anyway.

of course, i didnt know anything at all about making games until maybe a year after i got the 3ds, the 3ds still wasnt what i was expecting. i thought we were able to take pictures of the game were playing, i was expecting flipnote memo, i mean just stuff not worth mentioning over and over again but i have reasons. i never liked the 3d either. i thought it was neat for a few hours, but thats it. after days i think i stopped using the 3d period.

    • Marty

so it goes back to the whole it didn’t meet your expectations, eh? well as I said on the 3ds blog you can just stop, get over it, won’t bring back your dreams. Also this isn’t your first time bringing up your game dev background, something I also mess around with. And I like the 3d tbh, make’s game worlds fell alive, something that can’t often be said.

    • Hybrilynx

i think your taking this post the wrong way. becuz im only explaining, and alot less like ‘starting stuff’. or not, idk. i didnt feel like i was doing something wrong.

    • steve dogs

your posts are all annoying horse tits

  • Kiafact

Hey guys I’m from New Zealand, I went on the Wii U Eshop today and I’m am yet to see Trine 2 for sale. The other three indie titles are there Little Inferno, Chasing Aurora and Nano Assault Neo)but not Trine 2 :( Does anyone know why this is? Please Help!

    • Ziggy

Maybe search for it, or swap e-shops with Australia.

    • Kiafact

I tryed searching but it wouldn’t turn up also how would i be able swap eshops with Australia?

    • Ziggy

Maybe you make a new account, since it’s the first time you connect the eshop with your new account, it will probably have countries and provinces/states, so it knows the currency to bill you and tax you, pick one of Australia’s states or Provinces, New South Wales, Queens-land. you probably know the rest.

Does Australia have provinces or states?

  • Kaptain Penelope

Are they on sale in Europe as well? Cause I wanted to get Little Inferno.

    • CBNS

Yes they are. I have already downloaded them all.

  • NoYouCalmDown

They should also bring Cave Story+ To the Wii U eShop :D

I bought Little Inferno ’cause of the sale, It’s awesome!!!!

  • TheTEChguy27

Oh God, I misread “discounted” as “discontinued” the first time I read it. Now I feel happier. :D

  • SDDMN

In case people here are wondering how much disc space these games take up:

    Chasing Aurora is 103 MB
    Little Inferno is 114 MB
    Trine 2 is 1.89 GB

Just so none of you have to go looking for the sizes of these games before you consider purchasing.

Anyways, I’ll hopefully be getting Little Inferno before January swings around.
