This seems to be the final confirmation that Grand Theft Auto V is not coming to Wii U

For a while, it’s seemed unlikely that Grand Theft Auto V would come to the Wii U, and the above advertising for the game seems to be the final nail in the coffin. The Wii U is not listed as one of the release platforms and, considering we’re so close to the launch of the system, there would have been an announcement at this point if there was going to be one.

    Just because Ghost Recon’s advertisements didn’t label Wii U on them doesn’t mean it’s NOT coming, obviously they have a playable demo of it for the Wii U. But still, it IS unlikely to come, but it would be HELLA awesome.

    Well that sucks, I think the WiiU would be the perfect Console to run GTA V.

    The advertisements I’ve seen for Darksiders 2 and Assassins Creed III also didn’t mention the Wii U. But we know it’s getting those. So, there might be hope yet.

    It won’t happen because Nintendo doesn’t want GTA sullying their family-friendly console…

    Sensational, a lot of the Wii U games initially didn’t have the logo in the ads. It also doesn’t have the PC logo so does that mean it’s never coming to PC?

    As others have said, it’s too early to tell. I mean, the game doesn’t come out for another 3 months at least. If we get to 6 months past it’s release I say chalk it up as a loss, but until then there’s still a little hope. Personally I’m more interested in whether or not Wii U will get Bioshock Infinite.

    I do have to say that creating games is basically a 2-5 year process, the dev kits for the Wii U were released when Rockstar is already too deep in GTAV to make a port.

      I hate GTA, I can’t stand the morally devoid atmosphere that permeates that game. Same reason I don’t play Hitman, in short, GTA is *Not awesome.

    I am personally hoping the vita gets it more. it has been awhile since a new handheld gta, and no those 10th birthdays on ios and android do not count
