Mass Effect 3 Wii U 1 Small

Tom Crago of Straight Right has confirmed that “Miiverse functionality isn’t in [the Wii U version of] Mass Effect 3″, explaining that:

In the context of the game we never really talked about it. However, it’s something we’re interested in as a studio and with future titles that we might release we would love to look more into it.

This doesn’t feel like a big surprise though. I doubt most of the ports will contain the less instantly-obvious features of the Wii U. For the most part, the tweaks are going to focus on the GamePad, since that’s what people see first.

I doubt those little weeble-wobbles (Miis) would be appropriate for a game like this.

      They’re appropriate for every situation.

Really? Miiverse is cute and all and probably works well in the zany psychedelia of the Mushroom Kingdom, but I don’t want it in my Darksiders, Mass Effect, etc. (not that I’m buying Mass Effect U).

Have you played Dark/Demon Souls? MiiVerse can work like the community messages that on a console scale, you never have to see the Miis either you know.

    isn1t bioware the developers?

    • Tails the Foxhound

Bioware made the original game yes, Straight Right is handling the coding of the port.

inb4 it doesn’t sell well because people are pissed about EA not bring Trilogy instead of this, and then EA blames its poor sales solely on Nintendo.

The only way we can stop this is buying the other games on the system like zombie u so they can see the audience is there and its their game

      In after EA apologists.

I’m a little confused about this, as I thought Nintendo had said ALL games function with Miiverse automatically. Its going to look odd with some games with no Miis gathered around and others that do.

I can’t help feeling pretty let down, it seems the closer we get to launch the less functionality the Wii U turns out to have.

Its like Nintendo aren’t even trying to capture gamers from the other consoles. Its pretty sad that I am going into this, getting a Wii U, with the full intention that it will NOT be my primary console. Nintendo should be trying to change my mind nor confirming it.
