There are more, unannounced games that are coming to the Wii U during the launch window

Reggie Fils-Aime at E3 2012

Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that there are more Wii U games in development that will be released “during the launch window that … haven’t [been] announced yet”. There’s no more word on what those titles are, but it’s great to know there’s still more surprises in store.

      If its as diverse as Banana Blitz then indeed. I haven’t bought a Super Monkey Ball game in a long time as they just seem to repeat the same formula all the time. For me the mini games were always the best part.

      I rented Banana Blitz and considered buying it for its multitude of mini games, except I hardly played the Wii at that point due it looking awful on my TV so I never got round to buying it.

      I can imagine it being MUCH better on Wii U though as the main game would control a lot better with a motion plus quality controller held with both hands (basically, the game pad), then the mini games could include the game pad and nunchuck/motion plus play.

    I’m expecting to see next-gen Zelda and 3D Mario, SSB IV, Elder Scrolls VI, Mass Effect IV, GTA V, Pirate-themed Rockstar game, Assassin’s Creed IV, Sim City, Watch Dogs, Fallout IV, Civilization VI, The Sims 4, and Final Fantasy XV. All exclusive to Wii U and published by Nintendo, naturally.

      all depends wha they do with it,if they do what they did with skyward sword (brand new artstyle, in depth story ect then yes, but if they go off the base of skyward sword or something and just take controls, not as much, im sure they would need to update all the code none the less, not sure how programming works for ninendo

      Which is right around the time the new Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS will come out. A new Zelda and a new Smash Bros at one time will definitely steal Microsoft or Sony’s thunder.

    Im really hoping GTA V RESIDENT EVIL 6 please, I am not a so called hardxore gamer but I want Nintendo to do well and have more sales and thus, more games. Third party is jut what it needs.

      I actually loved all 3 of the black sheep games of the series (even though they outnumber the first TWO) Star Fox: Command specifically, though I would of preferred button controls instead of the touch screen with lasers used as any button…

      It seems Ninja Gaiden, Sing Party, Warriors Orochi 3, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 have moved from “launch window” games to “launch day” games, while Mass Effect 3, Madden 13, and Rayman Legends have moved from launch titles to launch window games. Why is Mass Effect 3, a game from last year, not a launch title?
      Anyways, I can’t decide on what games to get. NSMBU, ZombiU, Darksiders 2, Assassins Creed 3, Black Ops 2, and now Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge. I will only have enough money for 2 or 3 games. Thing is, I’m buying the Wii U for my family, not just me. I will have Nintendo Land as I’m getting the Deluxe set, but I dont know what other games to buy.

    There was speculation that a certain game was push back for a Wii U version, and I think it was suppose to be out early next year, does Bioshock Infinite sound likely to anybody else.

    games that are going to be released in the release window that havnt been anounced are either eshop titles or shovel ware lets face it anouncing a big budget game a few months before it’s launched is highly unlikly outside of japan

    Star Fox United. MetroFox, A Starfox/Metroid Crossover, Metroid Prime Trilogy HD, Metroid U, Super Smash Bros. Universe Early Development Teaser. oh mah gawd.. i want most of these. Kid Icarus Wii U.. meh.. i sorta liked Uprising and the older ones are HARD AS FUZZ!! so i guess it would be cool but i don’t think Nintendo knows how to do the Third-Shooter Esque thing right. i mean Namco made Assault. and Sora/Sakurai made Uprising and retro made Primes.. hmm i think the main nintendo team doesn’t do good at 3PS which kid icarus really should be like i mean the KIU controls were tolerable but on a console with a 2nd analog stick it should be used.

    I love how so many people here are freaking out about it being a big name title when it’s likely going to be no-name shovelware. Do you really think a Starfox or Metroid title wouldn’t have been shown off as system sellers?

    I think these are going to be ‘XBLA’ style games, given that they don’t need the sort of marketing hype that a box game needs.
    I do think as well that probably around Febuary (when the Wii U is a bit more available in stores) we’ll see a round of announcements of games to expect up until the end of July, to keep sales momentum up and fill in the blanks before E3 2012.
