Zombi U Patch 1

The Ubisoft development team behind ZombiU revealed, in game, of a patch currently in development for the game. Although the method of announcing the news is creative, they have not yet revealed what exactly is going to be fixed or changed with the patch. What do you think the patch will be used for?

ZombiU 7

Ubisoft has released a demo for ZombiU on the eShop in Europe. Personally, it was my favourite launch title for the system, so I’d suggest you check it out the demo you don’t own the game.

Let’s Play ZombiU

So far, I think ZombiU is the most interesting game on the Wii U. It’s imperfect, but a sequel could be a fantastic title. With this in mind, I’ve started to record a “Let’s Play” series for the game. It’s not a traditional LP, since it’s heavily-edited and I’ve failed to record a few chunks of the game, but the general narrative of the story can still be experienced. Nintendo Wii U Console Hardware System Side

There’s updates available for Nintendo Land, ZombiU, and New Super Mario Bros. U, all of which will require a small sacrifice in hard drive space. The exact file sizes are as follows:

  • Nintendo Land — 221mb
  • ZombiU — 18mb
  • New Super Mario Bros. U — 29mb

None of the sizes are too ridiculous for the moment though.

ZombiU has received mixed reviews from gaming journalists, but GiantBomb has offered a more positive perspective, sharing that:

ZombiU is not a repeat of Red Steel. It’s a smart, scary, incredibly difficult action game with an unfortunate name, an experience that rewards patience and punishes arrogance.

And based on what a lot of readers have been telling me, it is worth some attention. It does sound like one of those games that needs a sequel for it to really shine though. In the mean time, read GiantBomb’s full review for their complete thoughts.
