There are lots of games coming to the Wii U within the launch window. But what is “the launch window”? Reggie Fils-Aime, the President of Nintendo of America, has explained that the launch window is up to and including the three or four months after the launch.

Nintendo has revealed the list of Wii U launch titles, of which there are thirty-one. They won’t all be available on day one of the system launch, but will launch within the launch window. The list is after the break.

Nintendo has shared the above status message on their Facebook page for the Wii U. It’s a tease for three launch titles coming to the system. Care to have a guess at what they might be?

Shane Satterfield, the Editor in Chief at GameTrailers has said that:

One thing that I can say without getting in any trouble is that the launch line-up for the Wii U is going to surprise people. It’s going to be pretty damn good.

And that’d be a welcome change from the fairly lacklustre launch line-up of the 3DS. We can only hope that nothing changes between now and the platform’s release (and that our view of a “pretty damn good” line-up is not too different from Satterfield’s). But for the sake of a wild guess, what would you consider the greatest possible launch title for the platform to be?
