No one expected the Assassin’s Creed franchise to end with Assassin’s Creed 3, but the lead writer of the game has specifically said that, “there’s plenty of room to explore, plenty of seeds that have been planted that won’t conflict”. When it’s time for those seeds to grow, I suspect we’ll see the results on the Wii U.
There’s a new selection of screenshots from Assassin’s Creed 3. They might be from the PC version of the game though, so the graphics might not be reflective of the Wii U.

Thomas Whitehead of Nintendo Life has shared his hands-on impressions of Assassin’s Creed 3 on the Wii U, where he explains that “it could be one of the most accomplished third-party releases on the system, if not the most innovative”, nothing that “makes minimal use of the GamePad controller”, and:
…this won’t be a title to show off what makes Wii U different and unique from its competitors.
