Speculation: Far Cry 3 was delayed, so maybe it’s coming to the Wii U?

Far Cry 3 has been delayed until late November/early December. This has made Nintendo World Report wonder, maybe the delay was so it can also be released for the Wii U? Ubisoft hasn’t given any actual indication the game may be coming to the platform, but they’re supporting the system so heavily already, so maybe it’s not that farfetched? It is just pure speculation at this point though. There’s no insider source who’s said anything. Still, what do you think? Likely? Unlikely? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

    That could be possible, but usually it’s just because of polishing, or moving into another fiscal year. I don’t know when Ubisoft’s fiscal year starts though.

    Pfft fat chance. Ubisoft could support the WiiU to hello and back and this would never come to the system. Would be nice though.

    Since Ubisoft is obsessed with Wii U as much as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, I have a feeling that Far Cry 3 may soon come to Nintendo’s new console either at or after launch.

    Whether this comes or not i will probably not like Ubisoft for it, i may not be giving them a fair chance but it seems like they weren’t taking it seriously.

    For me if it comes it will be a good thing for the Wii U but it would seem more like they are trying to save face in that they have said they are totally behind it but other than Rayman Legends (which they have already said they may port) it doesn’t seem like they but forward any of their more popular games to the system. Also if they could have ported this i say they should have been working on porting Watch Dogs a bit earlier instead.

    If its not coming then they are – like i said above – still not taking it seriously.

    Maybe i’m just being skeptical after EA went and pulled one of their cross-plat games from coming to the Wii U

      EA haven’t OFFICIALLY pulled cross-plat games on the Wii U at the moment. There’s still a possibility that an improved Mass Effect 3 title will be coming to the U.

    Crytek did say that a respected company was making a game using the CryEngine3 for the Wii U so this makes since. I hope its true

      Far Cry 3 actually runs on the Dunia 2 engine. The Dunia engine is based on Crytek’s CryEngine, but it was heavily modified by Ubisoft Montreal.

    This is the game whose trailer at E3 began with some barechested chick whose tits were all out, right? Would buy.

    I thought exactly the same when I read about the delay.
    It could be true.But if it won´t , I won´t be surprised either…
    And it is still not as important as e.g. COD as Multiplatform

    this is the 1st thing i thought about, that and all the big games being pushed to next year seem very likely to me. that and ubisoft are mad for wii u it seems.
