Yes, This is Australia

Nintendo of Australia has revealed that Australia will receive the “Basic” and “Premium” bundles that are planned for the rest of the world on the 30th of November. This coincides with the release date in Europe. Price-wise, you can pick-up the Basic bundle for $349.95, while the Premium bundle will cost $429.95.

Holy crap that”s awesome! Not only is it coming out before the Wii did, but the basic bundle is even cheaper than the Wii was. I’m pretty excited for this :D

man, you guys are getting riped off

I hate that despite this blog being run from within Australia, it is oriented toward the US, and that everytime someone says Australia this kangaroo picture is attached to it

You are aware that Gangstaroo is a boss, right? lol

This is David’s blog. He is the only writer. He is Austrailian. I assume he writes it for North America because there aren’t as many Austrailian people on it. He likes to use different pictures.

I thought David was British. Man I suck detecting accents.

This blog is oriented toward its audience, that’s all. Plus, this Kangaroo picture makes me so happy. I must use it for all Aussie-related posts.

All that Kangaroo needs is David’s hat, a chain and some shades and he would be so BOSS! Kangaroo Jack anyone? =D

I wish gamers had their own continent, with our own currency, just so Aussie gamers wouldn’t have to pay much more for games, and so that we can all enjoy games region-free. Hey, let’s make Antarctica “Gamerland”! :D

  • Ben

Definitely going with the basic package.

  • Soeroah

Wow. I was expecting the Premium to be at least $500 in Australia after hearing it was about $400 in the US. Colour me shocked.

  • 08jackt

It’s actually a really good deal, the premium bundle is just a little more than the wii’s launch price

  • Soviana01

wow! cheaper than I thought because ps3 here is still about $500 I think!

A basic Xbox 360 sells for $250AU at the moment. A 250Gb version with 2 games sells for around $400. Still less than the WiiU. It also has a huge established library of games to go with it.

      The 320Gb PS3 with 1 game and 2 controllers sells for $450.

I realise the WiiU is newer, but technology wise, how much superior is it to demand a higher price point for similar spec’d hardware ?

I want one, but at that price I’ll wait. I feel it’s to expensive to compete with the xbox 360 / ps3 over the next 12 months.

I only clicked on this article because of the Gangstaroo. :P
