Rayman Legends confirmed for the Wii U (and it’s an exclusive)

It was certainly expected, but Ubisoft has shown off Rayman Legends for the Wii U at their press conference during E3 2012, revealing a new playable character, Murphy, and the use of touchscreen gestures (swipes etc) for controlling him with the use of the Wii U’s GamePad. There will also be support for five-player co-op.

Update: Oh, and look at that: Rayman Legends is an exclusive title for the Wii U. Neat!

    I hate how they call those buttons ZR and ZL! Seriously, why can’t they just call them R2 and L2?

    The demo of the game looked awesome. I probably won’t buy the game, but it was very impressive.

    Ubisoft had a great conference. Rayman legends and AC3 are must buys for me forr Wii U but is watch dogs coming to Wii U cause it looked interesting.

      Seriously though with all the other support Ubisoft is throwing Nintendo’s way i would be highly dissapointed if it wasn’t coming to Wii U.

      Very easy to see how they could use the controller to select what you want to hack in your surroundings. So it better be on WiiU.

      Murphy is probably automatic then, it doesn’t seem so hard to imagine. All the stage elements the tab player usually moves would probably just move on their own.
