GamePad Dual Support

I think this was actually confirmed a while ago, but in any case, the above image proves that the Wii U will support the use of two, simultaneous GamePads. Nintendo still has to sell GamePads for this to be possible though.

It was announce at E3 2012 by Reggie Fils Aime.

    MINT BERRY CRUNCH!

This confirms nothing. That second controller could easily be a Wii Remote or a Pro Controller.

It clearly says Wii U Game Pad, meaning you can put use one for each player.

  • raif

This isn’t proof, if you read the text on the controller, it is asking how many players are going to be using the 1 controller for the game.
    Like..pass the controller games ect.

    • lonewolf

yes but its already been announced so it doesn’t matter

  • wimpykid456

I do believe that it’s saying you will be able to switch the controller to any “Virtual Controller Port” in turn based games like the Super Mario Bros. series.

  • Iyxxl

Well, I already knew… But thanks for this anyway. :P

The way it says “…this Wii U Gamepad.” makes me think this is true, but it’s like others have said, player two could just as well be another type of controller.

I would love to see the new Mario cart have duel support, along with card games ware your hand is on your personal screen and tv can display a animated spectator mode like experience.
