Preorders for Wii U to begin at GameStop on Thursday?

Visitors to GameStop have (apparently) been told that preorders for the Wii U begin on Thursday. According to what’s being said, it will cost $50 to secure the system, and the bundles themselves start at $250, and go up to $350. It’ll then become available “the week before Thanksgiving”.

The information ties in with everything else we’ve heard, so either people are just latching onto the rumours tighter than they should, or it’s all accurate. It’s not long until we find out the truth.

    Welp, my Blue Wii that doesn’t play gamecube games (I dunno why they got rid of that feature) will be getting kicked out of my house that day, in order to reserve this.

      I’m pretty sure they will have some sort of deal at gamestop for upgrading to the Wii U.

    $250 – $350? Thats realy cheap. If I hear one american who complains about the price im gonna be mad.
    Who wants to guess the price for it in Sweden? Anyone? $750!!!! (5000 SEK) Thats way to much! Bye Nintendo, I think my 360 called for me!

      Thats not what happened at all. My brother works at EB Games and I keep going down there to ask about Wii U updates and they had been telling me to “pre order” a Wii U game they had a temporary SKU for and when they get the official Wii U SKU they would transfer the money over to a Wii U. They “pre ordered” Wii U games early too because they want a Wii U at launch as well. I put $100 down on 2 “games” and the money will be transferred tomorrow when they get the official SKU

    I dont believe they are still making rumors. The reveal of the release date and price will be known to the whole world under 24 hours from now.
