Pokemon Rumble Wii U

Yesterday, Ninfea, an eeveelution for the sixth generation, was announced in Coro Coro magazine. However, this is just a new Pokemon, nothing else in the magazine is impressive when it comes to the Wii U, right?

WRONG!

It has also been revealed in the same issue that the third game in the Pokémon Rumble series, Pokemon Scramble U, will be released this Spring in Japan and will contain all 649 current Pokémon. It will be a 4 Player game and can feature to a maximum of 100 pokémon at any time. It will be a download-only game and will not have a physical release.

  • billy

    Eggs.

  • Ninpalk

This will probably be the last game we get that is a 5th Generation game that doesn’t have later pokemon.

    • Ice Climbers

Unless they add Gen 6 Pokemon via DLC.

    • HBOVER9000

The only scenario possible. Pay a couple of yen/dollars/euros for the new pokes, moves and abilities (possibly types?), and maybe a little story. Either way, no getting this game. Rumble series is a little boring for me.

    • Ice Climbers

I suppose it could be added via a patch, in the same manner as Momiji and Kasumi in Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge, but a DLC pack makes the most sense. I probably won’t buy this game either. The only spinoff series that I like is Mystery Dungeon. I did like Conquest though.

  • icedude545

coulden’t they wait for 6th gen to come out first? :I

    • EddKupo

That would have made more sense. We already have Pokemon Rumble Blast for the 3DS with all the 5th gen.

    • Silent

I dont think Pokemon Rumble Blast has ALL of the pokemon.

    • teenchampionsam

But WiiU has amazing dlc, they could add in the 6th gen later on

    • Holonboy

Pokemon? In HD? Why wait?! I’ll get the sixth gen sequel laterz.

    • http://www.something.com/ TechTris

Eh, not like it matters, I can finally have better multiplayer options than the past versions. In HD, too.

  • Fezzel

    Thank you for posting more!

  • Karl Blaiwes

Robert, I sincerely hate your reporting style. You are trite and very bland. You don’t even give any context with respect to Ninfia (at least provide your viewers with a picture of the scan or something, jeez), and you do not have the same sense of humor as David. Until he gets some sense and fires you, I will be leaving this blog, which I have visited now since before David owned this domain name. Sad times in the Generation VIII Nintendo Consoles blog department…

    • AnimeNerd

he didn’t go into detail about ninfia because it 3ds news sort of, not wii u news

    • Tecpedz94

Jezz your so rude why dont you take over and show us how great you are at blogging. Next time keep your comments to yourself and just leave, your presence wont make a difference on this blog anyhow. Note that he has just begun doing this so it takes sometime to get use nonetheless you can never replace someone, dont expect to read posts the way David wrote only cuz your use to his way only David can post his way and only Robert can post his. Good day…..

    • Karl Blaiwes

I’m allowed to be rude, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

    • Tecpedz94

      As you wish your Majesty.

    • Karl Blaiwes

Honest to goodness, whoever posted “I’m allowed to be rude, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.” is not Karl Blaiwes. On behalf of that person, though, I sincerely apologize. However, I will take note that I have already made a difference on the blog. Note how Robert added a flare of humor by putting in “WRONG!” with respect to Ninfia; he is obviously a rationale (albeit not very funny or interesting…) human being. Robert reminds me of the Tim Cook of the Generation 8 Blogging industry. He’s alright, but he’s no David (Steve Jobs). Honestly, he strikes me as unprofessional. I’m sorry if my opinion offends you, but it is my opinion, and I have a right to it.

    • Silent

What? do you expect robert to be EXACTLY like David? I like robert how he is and even though i would like him to update the site faster, I still like his work.

    • Karl Blaiwes

The whole point in reading a blog is to get a personal opinion; this guy has none, or very little. David, on the other hand, despite not being the most knowledgable fellow in video games, always had some insight to bring to the table. Not this guy…very unoriginal.

Also, note the quality drop-off in Wii U TV…

      1) Robert needs a better camera
      2) Robert needs to upload to Nintendo3DS channel, as opposed to Sephazon…it makes no sense to upload to Sephazon…or at least put an intro video on Nintendo3DS.
      3) Make your videos more relevant, but less cruddy. I mean, we get it, Robert, you own a Mewtwo figurine (in the Yarn Yoshi video, he pulls out a Mewtwo). That was probably the worst attempt at trying to be funny I’ve ever seen…

    • Tecpedz94

I dont get your point the the guy has posted like 5 blogs and your already judging give it a month or 2 then your opinion will make more sense?????!!!!!

    • Sephazon

      “”You’re not Yoshi.”

      Loved that part.” – David

That guy you think will fire me thinks that part was especially funny.

    • Karl Blaiwes

Why are you so mean to me, I never did anything to you.

    • Revolution5268

hold on you are just bashing him and you called him mean, its fool like you that hurt blog that are fun to go.

    • Karl Blaiwes

People with a good sense of humor often aren’t good judges of others. Also, the poster who accused Robert of being “mean” was not me. I am Karl Blaiwes.

    • Sephazon

Can we please keep this discussion on the topic of the news. I’d love to entertain any criticism by email rather than see it posted on the blog.

    • Karl Blaiwes

Sure, Robert, no problem. Do you have an email where I can reach you?

    • Sephazon
    • Silent

Get back to me when you make a blog better than this one.

    • Melissa

      Are you Karl?

    • Karl Blaiwes

      How rude!

    • Silent

You are also allowed to GTFO. I think you should consider that last one.

    • Karl Blaiwes

You and Robert are mean bullies. Goodbye!

    • Silent

You can leave, we wont stop you. I dont really care Robert doesnt have the same sense of humor as David, he is still kind of funny. Dont talk about a blog when you cant make a better one.

    • Karl Blaiwez

“Still kind of funny”? It sounds like you do not like Robert either. How can you be mad if you feel the same way…

    • Sephazon

      I like you.

    • Karl Blaiwes

      Is this sarcasm?

    • Silent

      Probably

    • Silent

      Lol

    • Silent

What do you guys expect. Robert is a whole different person so he HAS to have the same amount of sense of humor. I like that Robert does not try to copy David’s sense of humor. He has his own personality and way of writing, though different than David’s, which i still enjoy reading. I do like Robert, don’t make out conclusions when you are not me.

    • Anonymousers

      BE MY BOO

    • boyonthemoon

it was as bland as the 3ds news. i dont think i get davids humor anyway. its a sad time in any blog department because the people that participate in them have the saddest lives of them all

    • Tails the Foxhound

Ninfia is 3DS news, not Wii U news.

  • http://www.something.com/ TechTris

Not sure if I should download this, I hope I’ll have some money left for it after Bit Trip and the rest of the VC games.

  • boyonthemoon

i hope this gets released outside japan so i can buy a good downloadable game and finally register my deluxe promotion

    • Tails the Foxhound

Dude, what? Trine 2, Mighty Switch Force Hyper Drive Edition*, Nano Assault Neo*, Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2. And Little Inferno if you’re up for something a little weird, but charming.

*Assuming you don’t have these on 3DS.

    • Alex_Atkin_UK

      Or Steam.

I would have gotten Trine 2 myself but it was WAY cheaper on Steam and looks a billion times better on my PC than the Wii U version.

    • Tails the Foxhound

      What ISN’T cheaper on Steam?

    • 3DSFlo

But the Wii U version haves a extra level and Free DLC! Plus a Miiiverse. And it looks very well on Wii U if u have a 1080p TV with the settings turned all the way up on your Wii U. Plus the Wii U game pad has the perfect Cross pad is perfect for 2D platformers. Plus Wii U has local co op and of screen play. Better than Steam!

    • Holonboy

And online co-op with voice chat.
Plus, it’s much easier to use the wizard and his box-dropping abilities with the gamepad.

    • I’m your father! (Duh?)

      But my TV ain’t 1080p!

    • Alex_Atkin_UK

Miiverse is a gimmick that does nothing for me. It needs to be organised more like proper forums to be useful, so you can see the topics more clearly.

I got Trine 2 with DLC on Steam too, still for less than the Wii U version.

I’m pretty sure the Wii U version IS NOT 1080p, but even if it is the lighting is not even close to as pretty as on PC.

I don’t need off screen play as my GamePad range dies when I leave the room and my PC is hooked up in the same room as the Wii U.

I have nobody else to play the game with over co-op anyway, and voice chat is pointless when its on a per-title basis. On Xbox I use voice chat literally as that, to chat, rarely relevant to the game I am playing at the time.

Yes the game might be slightly easier to play on the GamePad, but that is a pretty minor difference compared to the benefits on PC.

    • boyonthemoon

those look good but, i only have so much money and now im saving it for poyman

    • Tails the Foxhound

Oh ok, yeah money is always a good excuse.

(Feel the need to point out that this IS NOT sarcasm, it kinda feels like someone is gonna misinterpret this.)

    • Holonboy

Nano Assault Neo is NOT a port of Nano Assault for the 3DS.

It was orignally made as a tech demo for the Wii U that was later expanded into an arcade-like game in that you play a series of four stages and compete for the leaderboards with the score from those four stages, or compete in a survival mode (with 16 total stages, I believe). The original 3DS game was more of a series of continuous levels style game.

    • Tails the Foxhound

Yeah, but it’s still for all intents and purposes pretty much the same game. I know I personally wouldn’t buy both at any rate.

    • Holonboy

Nano Assault 3DS has a Star Fox 64 feel to some of the levels. Neo was just the blowing-up-a-cell levels.

  • Hybrilynx

for about 0.0014 of a second i thought that said pokemon scribblenauts.

    • Sephazon

It should have. My word, it should have!

    • Silent

Hey Rob, Two questions: do you think they will release this simultaniously in Japan and US? and do you think they’ll feature gameplay of this on E3 this year?

    • Sephazon

It could, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t. And if this is released in Spring, I doubt they’d feature an already-released game at E3.

  • Chompjil

I love that “WRONG!”, Robert, ya great!

  • Ice Climbers

On an unrelated note, the 15th Pokemon movie will feature Mewtwo! Which means Genesect vs Mewtwo. I don’t really pay that much attention to the anime anymore, but I might have to watch this since Mewtwo is in it.

    • XX Chromosone

      Mewto*

    • mut4nt

well-in german maybe.the english version(dunno if ae or be ) is called mewtwo :)

    • XX Chromosone

Oh, ok sry for my mistake :P

    • lonewolf88

      i go by mewtwo :S

    • lonewolf88

      no its mewtoo :p

    • Holonboy

      *Mewtwo

    • Tails the Foxhound

You should at least watch the movies, the series is usually pretty awful but the movies are usually decent at worst.

  • http://www.facebook.com/realar01 Peter McKennon

    It’s Nin-FIA not fea.

  • http://www.facebook.com/alex.zaratecortes Alex Zarate Cortes

Hope this game is good, i’ve played Pokemon Rumble for Wii and to be honest, it was kinda entertaining. I also hope to see some special features on this one.

  • beatleboy13

    Isn’t it pokemon Rumble…?

    • XX Chromosone

Only in Japan it’s called Pokémon Scramble U, in other regions it’s known as Pokémon Rumble!

  • 3DSFlo

I hope it comes to America it sounds interesting. :):):)

  • RockieOllie

really nothing about the Nintendo Direct 2morrow?
