Plot Twist in the Rayman Legends Wii U Delay

Last week, fans of the Rayman series and those who may have purchased the Wii U looking forward to the exclusive Wii U release of Rayman Legends were disappointed when Ubisoft announced that Rayman Legends was to be delayed and was no longer Wii U exclusive. However, like most good stories, there is a plot twist! What a twist!

In the above photo, you can see the creator of the Rayman franchise, Michel Ancel, along with fellow developers hold a picture of Rayman, mourning in the delay of his game, asking for the original release date for the Wii U. Although Ubisoft has yet to comment on this turn of events, it has most definitely caught the attention of fans. What Ubisoft will announce because of this is unclear at the present time, but it would be awesome to see Rayman Legends released for the Wii U on its original release date.

    Microsoft is at fault for the delay because of there multi plat terms, so well see how this goes.

      Yeah, Microsoft get’s angry if another company gets exclusive content too, so they might get Smartglass support too because Microsoft will force them to do it. Then they’ll have to give Vita support to the PS3 version because that would only be fair. Watch that happen, mark my words.

      Its probably mandatory actually. But hay at least the U will get the definitive version.

      They know the wii u will beat them so they force companies to give them support. It’s evil, as well as stupid. Companies should make the game, not Microsoft.

      Early on in the development they said this game will have online and 3D Boss fights, but they seemed to shy away from that.
      …Who knows, maybe we might just get one of those.

      It won’t become Wii U exclusive but that doesn’t really matter, anyone who gets the PS3/360 versions are getting a rubbish version so it’s their own fault. But it should go back to it’s original date.

      Who cares about the exclusive???? Microsoft can get the crappy version of the game. (who’s gonna get murphy???? Hello!!!!!)
      I just want the original release date back.

    Microsoft annoys me. If something like that happens, it would be fun to see them cancel the Xbox version….. (Laughs manically….)

      If it was up to me I’d cancel the 360 version. Why delay a game for a crappy 7 year old console?

      Because it isn’t only Nintendo fans who want Rayman Legends. Rayman fans exist across all consoles. While Ubisoft may seem like they’re betraying us and their own development team, many Rayman fans are rejoicing over the news. As much as they want to play Rayman Legends, one exclusive does not justify buying a new console – that’s why Wii U needs many exclusives across many serieses.

      I wish that the Wii U version was released on its original release date AND then in September it’s released for 360 and PS3.

      The way Microsoft runs its console is a joke. You have to pay for internet, and you get if you’re lucky one good exclusive game a year. Without Microsoft ruining the fun, Sony wouldn’t need desperately hang on to console exclusives, and everyone would be happier :/

      Yeah. Sony totally copies nintendo, but with out Microsoft, everything would still be soooooooooooo much better.

    It’s not fair on the developers for the game to be delayed. They will have put in a stupid amount of (most likely unpaid) overtime to ensure the game would be completed in time for release. That’s their own personal time that they should be spending with their families that they’re sacrificing to complete the game for us fans and it was all for nothing just because of the guys in suits don’t want to spend a little bit more money marketing it twice. Just like the film industry and the music industry the game industry has become just about money than the audience like it should be.

      True. Notice that almost all popular artists are somewhat attractive. Its all about looks.

      That’s why I listen Strictly to 20′s-80′s music. Like the Beatles, they didn’t need to wear attractive dresses or whatever to make good music!!! They just needed a good song!!! (although their Sgt. Pepper getups were pretty colorful.)

    it’s the shear holders fault. it’s a smart decision, the wiiu is not doing to well and they need to make money. even thow it really sucks i respect the decision.

      It’s a great decision to release it in the same time period as several other major titles instead of during a software drought, you’re right…!
