Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is coming to Wii U and 3DS, will be released outside of Japan

Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is coming to the Wii U and 3DS in March 2013. The game features online play, and will be released in all regions: North America, Japan, and Europe. Excited? So am I. I’m sure glad I jumped on the hype-train.

      CAPCOM WHY U NO RELEASE ON PS3 AND VITA? Not to say that releasing it on Wii U or 3DS is a bad thing but come on, PS3 and Vita need an MH game that is not a port!

    I wonder if this was the “shocking news” for Monster Hunter that Capcom was talking about. If it was and it isn’t a surprise Vita title, then we can kiss the Vita’s bot goodbye.

    I am very interested in the 3ds version…. will it be exact same as wii u version of this mh game??? what do you guys think , and will it connect to wii u? for online play and lastly do you all think it will have 3g monsters in it??

      I image the 3ds one will be very similar to the Wii U as far as accessible content goes, much like how the PS3 adaptation of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for the PSP had all of it’s content. The only difference I foresee between the Wii U and 3ds version is post-processing effects since the Wii U is more powerful.

      As for the 3g monster, my guess would be that it’ll have all of it’s monsters. 3G in japan was considered the expanded version of Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii. MH3 Ultimate really does just sound like the ultimate version of Tri, which adding in what Tri lacked was (of course) an abundance of monsters/gear and a high rank mode.
      I’m psyched!
