Lego City Undercover 5

According to Chris Scullion of CVG, the first mission in LEGO City Undercover took him about an hour to complete. This suggests that, since there’s fifteen missions, the main storyline should last about fifteen hours or so. But for people who need to do everything in a game, there’s literally hundreds of things to collect for one-hundred percent completion, and I’m sure the sandbox nature of the game will keep people entertained too.

… And 5,000 more hours to complete the rest. XD

Since when does the first mission take as long as the final missions? 1 datum from a sample of 1 does not an average make. Hopefully they’re filled with voice overs and lego humour. That’s what will make this game great. Did anyone notice the difference between the USA lego city nintendo direct and the UK one? USA one focuses on all the action scenes trying to make him look like a badass, while the UK direct had a lot of the humourous scenes which made it seem like much more fun

Even if its true, which as pointed out its unlikely all missions are the same length, and friend of mine made this same complaint about The Elder Scrolls: Obivion being a very short game.

He made the same mistake of only doing the main quests, its the side quests that add the depth to the game world and the real beef of the gameplay. I have racked up over 100 hours and not scratched the surface, although I admit I get easily sidetracked and forget where I was supposed to be going – lol.

While I doubt LEGO City Undercover is going to have such incredibly complex, lengthy side-quests as an Elder Scrolls game, I would still expect the side missions to add a fair bit to the game. Although its impossible to say if that number is single or double digits.

It would be great if it was an 100 hour game, but its highly unlikely as quite frankly it has not been in development long enough for that. When you look at the open world games which are jam packed full of side quests like GTA and The Elder Scrolls, you realise how long it would take to make a game of that size and complexity. No LEGO game I am aware of comes close to have been in development that long.
