Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii U has been in development for about six months

In reference to Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two on the Wii U, Warren Spector has said they didn’t “keep [the game] secret as long as you might think”, explaining that:

We put together a proposal that got kicked around at Disney, and Nintendo for long time. At the end of the day we probably seriously started working on it about 6 months ago. I just have to be clear about the one thing.

This is a surprisingly short amount of time, and makes a lot of sense considering how the earliest rumours of the game were repeatedly squashed. It’ll be interesting to see how the short turn-around time affects the final product of the port.

    It’ll probably be fine though I wish the Wii U version supported the wiimote.

      To my knowledge it does. Don’t quote me on that, but I’ll see if I can find you a confirmation.

    Wii U is supposed to be very easy to port to, that might not amount to much though. The port is probably going to be skimped on too, I hope that’s not the case though.

    They already worked on the PS360 versions which are of course HD consoles as well . So moving it to Wii U in just 6 months is pretty reasonable if you ask me.
