Darksiders 2 is the first Wii U launch title

THQ has confirmed that Darksiders 2 will be the first launch title for the Wii U. Danny Bilson explained that “the new controller allows for the inventory screen to be active at the same time as the adventure on the main screen,” which was one of a motivation for bringing the game to the platform in the first place.

Bilson added that “we’re looking at two other titles for launch and many more beyond that” and THQ is “incredibly supportive and excited about the new console.”

    Metro was in shown wasn’t it? Maybe that’s a possible title as well.

    Very good news to hear. BTW I have a question to ask you guys. Why do you think Ken Levine was talking about the wiiu at e3. Do you think irrational games is thinking of porting Bioshock infinite or maybe Bioshock 1 and 2 to the wiiu? Also being that Bioshock infinite is also coming out 2012 the same year wiiu is coming out?

    This will make the launch title of the wii u great. We just need more games from different genre’s with strong content.

    Now when Nintendo talks about letting 3rd Parties lead the way for a new console, this is what they should do. They shouldn’t entrust it to the mostly trash Ubisoft and EA put out there and instead give that duty to titles that carry more weight.

    He said that they don’t have any plans to in an interview. He’s just interested in the console as a gamer.

    This and the titles mentioned at the game line-up, plus Pikmin 3, LoZ HD, and SSB4 would make the greatest launch line-up ever.

    Dude, the Zelda HD was just a tech demo. Besides, where getting Skyward Sword this year for the Wii, so odds are we won’t be seeing a new console Zelda until 2016. If there is a new Zelda in the works, it’s most likely for the 3DS.

    Battle Field 3, Ninja Gaiden, Metro 2o33… there’s a video on youtube showing all the games that will be in the WiiU. Look it up.

    What? No way Way sooner than that we’ll probably see one anywhere from the Launch to the following year not 2016 lol that would mean ignoring what might be the an essential piece of this gaming platform!

    a Zelda game might launch in 2014 for sure because it takes 1 1/2 years to make.

    Lets face it Nintendo always makes two Legend of Zelda game for each console. So I doubt it would come out in 2016 depending on how long we expect the wiiu to last.

    SNES only had one. N64 only had two because they recycled the character models from Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask was a relatively short game. For the GameCube they probably had an extra team to spare since Capcom was making the handheld titles for them. Then the Wii has two because Twilight Princess was delayed to where they decided they should just make it a launch title. I’m still placing my money on anywhere from four to five years.

    Dang, is everybody pissed at Ubisoft? Is Ubitchsoft really that bad? Indeed, Ubitchsoft did release so many crappy games, but why do you dislike them?

    kh3 will be made when ffv13 is done and kh3 is going to use the ffv13 engine
