Avengers: Battle for the Earth is coming to Wii U

Ubisoft has announced that Avengers: Battle for the Earth is in development and will be released on the Wii U. The game itself “features 20 different characters, including Avengers such as Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor, as well as other fan-favorite Super Heroes and Super Villains from the Marvel Universe.” Since it’s a movie-based game, I’m wary. But at the same time, The Avengers was awesome, so I want to like this.

    Movie games are usually bad, but not always. Spiderman 2 was great. Let’s hope this game turns out well. If its anything like the movie it will. And hopefully it doesn’t use only stupid motion controls (it’s not that motion controls themself are bad, but developers often misuse them).

      The problem with movie games is the fact that it takes a lot less time to make a great movie than it does to make a great game, developers are only given the amount of time it takes to make the film to make the game and we end up with a bad game.

    think this may be good since most terrible movie games are rushed out the be release along side the movie to take advantage of the hype for the movie, since this is being release way after the movie maybe they’ll take their time with it and make a decent game. i hope it turns to be just as good if not better than the movie.

    Your wrong. It’s not based on the Movie it is based on an Avengers comic book storyline! So there is less to worry about! Also, get your facts straight before you post about something!

      And Avengers was an awesome movie! This game is based on the secret invasion storyline (thats not the film’s storyline). This is game is being made by activision or SEGA! It’s being made be UBISOFT, so it will probably turn out pretty good!

      FYI, this game is apparently based on the “Secret Invasion” arc in the comics, not the movie plot (which I honestly just almost spoiled here until I thought about it).

    that movie was great and maybe this will give it time to polish it and maybe write its own story or pick up where the cancelled avengers game left off at the other studio

    I’m gonna get this. The movie was awesome (and filmed right down the street from me!) And I can’t wait to see the great HD graphics. I hope they use some good cut scenes and real voices

    It’s not based on the movie, it’s based on one of the comic book series, I believe. It’s probably being released around this time to ride on the movie’s hype.

    It’s also being released for Kinect, so I’d imagine it’s motion control-heavy.

    It’s being made by Ubisoft, they make Rabbids, Rayman and Assassins Creed. It’s based on the secret invasion comic series, so not a movie-tie-in. Wii U and Kinect only, more time to focus (although I did want an Avengers game on my 3DS). Plus it’s an AVENGERS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s going to be amaze balls. I hope it’s a Wii U launch title :D
