A list of games that (might) be available at GameStop before launch of the Wii U

According to GameStop, the following games should be on their shelves on November 13th:

  • ZombiU
  • Assassin’s Creed III
  • Sports Connection
  • Just Dance 4
  • Madden NFL 2013
  • Rabbids Land
  • Skylander’s Giants Starter Pack
  • FIFA Soccer 13
  • Transformers Prime: The Game
  • Ben 10 Omniverse: The Video Game
  • Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game
  • Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013

Of course, this means they’ll be available before the Wii U’s out, but maybe that’s more convenient. Pick-up the games beforehand, then just pick-up the console itself on November 18th. Sounds almost like a strategy.

    also on a seperate note, you can no longer pre-order a Wii U premium at gamestop,they already ran out of stock,and ive heard that they will be closing the preorders on the basic set tomorrow

      Glad I went in and preordered mine the day after conference. Premium set is gonna be hard to find after launch. Good to know the wii u is doing amazing in pre sales.

      ya, was so pissed when i found this out, went around town for 4 hours trying to find a place that wasnt sold out or rip me off like walmart, finaly found one, i literaly got the last one at best buy

      well you were lucky because apparently best buy had run out of stock before gamestop did

      ya, i was extremly lucky, i almost went to toysrus, didnt have high hopes for it, but halmost had to (its about 50 miles away so it would be a pain getting back and forth for it)

      My local GameStop let me know that they ran out of premium preorders 2 hours after making them available, so they put me on a preorder for a Basic Set…

      But my particular GameStop gave me hopeful news. They told me that even though I’m temporarily put on a preorder for the Basic Set, the likelihood that they’ll get more Premium Sets is very high, and that we who are on preorder for the Basic Set will be of the first to be notified and can upgrade immediately to the Premium Set from that point.

      Though,if we learn anything from the wii launch,is that dont expect any premium sets until after the holidays,its a marketing strategy and it works

      also i’ve been told that walmart might or might not stock the wii U for launch,that they’ll probably start selling them after black friday, and that toys r us will be selling on black friday sorta like a bundle that will include the console either basic or premium,a pro controller and a game, but take this rumor with a grain of salt

      Ii pre ordered mine the day they annouced the price I saw another kid in there buying the basic set. I think I had got the last premium set that day now all I have to do is wait. Premium for the win.

      It should be, I saw it on the listing when I went to pre-order my Wii U!!! Unless the Wii U version was in development after they did the other version. But they had a demo of it so i am assuming they were developing it at the same time.

    My local GameStop is getting Black Ops 2 on November 14, four days before the Wii U’s launch.

    Seems lucky living in South Australia for once. I just walked casually into a JB Hi-fi and put my name down for a premium set.

    If there has been something I learned from the 3DS and the Vitas launch it is that they lie about launch games to get your hard earned money for something that may not come out for several more months!

    Man, every time I see that Transformers Prime on these lists I wish it was Fall of Cybertron. I hate that Wii U will most likely miss out on that game.
