Wii U Hardware White Small

Satoru Iwata has revealed at a recent investor briefing that “the current Internet-Connection ratio [for the Wii U] is 74%, which means that almost three of four consoles have been online already.” I’m still surprised so many people don’t — or can’t — connect their system to the Internet, but it’s definitely a better rate than the Wii.

Do they have internet? I mean, you can get an amazing router for like $26 on amazon…

thats why, YOU SUPPOSED TO HAVE 3DS WARE ADVERTISED IN STORES WITH FREE WI-FI SO PEOPLE WITHOUT INTERNET CAN STILL BUY ESHOP GAMES AT TARGET, WAL-MART, ETC AND MAKE MONEY WHEN THEY VISIT INSTEAD OF JUST GIVING THEM DEMOS. duh. i was hoping for this ever since the dsi had i think just 6 dsiware games, but i never even seen them do it. of course i have internet now, but you get the idea. people dont have internet. plus, why wouldnt you have downloadable games at stores anyway? thats where people get games from. and selling a game that costs nothing but bandwidth, saves a heck of alot of money.

Well, they do have free wifi at almost all restaurants…

people who tries to sell things, never mind. im not the type of person who would walk 10 miles to buy shoes, when i can buy shoes next door. thats a figure of speech, learn it well.

I’m not seeing how that applies. I mean, is mcdonlds really farther away from your house then Walmart and target? And people that have internet at home but not WiFi confuse me, especially if they complain about convenience. It’s not like routers are expensive if you buy them online.

This is about the Wii U… Not the 3DS…

    • Hybrilynx

you can say that to almost any comment evar. except the 3ds part.

While the other 26% think it sucks because they don’t know how to use a console.

  • Iyxxl

That’s because it’s better the internet browser is better than my computer one. XD

I personally am actually having trouble connecting my Wii U to the internet :(. I mean, it’s connected, I can go to Miiverse/Internet Browser and stuff… but rarely does it work. Most of the time it stops loading halfway through leaving Blue Question marks in the place of images. For example, almost everytime I boot up Miiverse the background is blank while the options (profile, communities, etc) are listed to the right in text. Plus when it does work it usually gets an error message that’s not on the site (something like 112-9998 or something, its usually that error code, sometimes other ones) Same happens with the Internet Browser.

TL;DR : My internet connection on my Wii U is horrible and I don’t know how to fix it.

the more people online, the better.

  • KidWiththeBackpack

Well, the Wii U doesn’t come with an ethernet cable, so if you don’t have wifi you can’t connect to the internet unless you buy one or the other. I personally had a terrible time trying to get my Wii U connected to my Wifi, in fact the day I got it I couldn’t even play it because the initial setup and updates took so long. That might just be because my wifi sucks, but maybe other people had trouble as well.

That sounds depressing. But I have personally configured a router from a 3DS. Using a Wii U would be easier…

I am posting this on my Wii U! The Wii U internet browser is amazingly good. Better than my computer. and reading text and scrolling on the gamepad is good. Miivewrse is great and with further updates will get even better. I also play games online. PS The eShop has a lot of good stuff to download. The 26% of you shode really get it online. :):):)
